You DON’T Need These 3 Things To Look Stylish

In the past 14 years as a personal style coach, I’ve heard ALL the reasons women feel like it’s not possible for them to have an enviable style. And to be completely transparent, I’ve had some of these limiting thoughts myself. Today, I’m revealing the top 3 things you DON’T need – that you probably think you do! – to look stylish. 

And as you read these, I want you to be honest with yourself. Have you surrendered to a life of sweat pants (#quarantinestyle, am I right?) because you don’t have these things? If so, don’t stress! I’m about to bust some serious myths and show you how it’s possible to step into your best style.

No more excuses. 

#1 – A Big Budget 

I understand this struggle well. Even a harmless Target haul can add up FAST. You want to wear the latest trends and keep up with your favorite style influencers. But when there’s no wiggle room in your wallet, it can feel impossible to keep up.

But here’s the thing. Once you learn the basic principles of style, you can literally take a potato sack and make it work for you, honey. 

If you stick with me, I’ll show you how to actually shop LESS, use what you already have to work for you right now, and understand exactly what to look for in the future so you can stop wasting time and money buying (even clearance items) that just end up sitting in your closet with the tags still on them.

And when you’re ready to invest in some new pieces (whether that means a $500 pair of Louboutins or a $5 Old Navy tee), you’ll know just where to start. 

#2 – The “Perfect” Body 

When your weight isn’t exactly where you want it, it can feel extremely daunting to try on clothes or feel confident in what you’re wearing. Can I share a secret with you though? There is no such thing as a PERFECT body. We all have our own definition of what that means. And isn’t the grass always greener on the other side? 

I’m all for taking care of ourselves, nourishing our bodies properly, and having healthy fitness goals. But instead of striving for unattainable perfection, what would it be like to feel confident right now with what you’ve already got?

#3 – Good Taste

Yes, some people have a more innate eye for design and seem to look flawless with little to no effort. But no matter where you’re starting from, you can learn (and master) the art and science of being well dressed. It’s really quite simple.
